In 2005 Coach Pettaway and the Bulldogs
advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school
history.

Our
season did not end they way we had hoped. We lost in the first round
of the SWAC Tournament to eventual champion Alabama State. We
finished the season with a mark of 8-19. I thought we were very
competitive through non-league play, despite a 2-7 mark. We played
